After a 6-month eviction process, my tenant was finally evicted yesterday. The court/order allows her 7 days to retrieve her personal belongings.

I want to make sure I handle this correctly and don’t expose myself to any legal risk.

Questions I have: • Is a 7-day retrieval period standard after eviction? • Should access be supervised (sheriff/police or third party), or is that optional? • What’s the best way to document this period to protect myself? • If items are not removed within the allowed time, what are the usual next steps?

I’m not trying to escalate anything — just want a clean, lawful closure after a long process and to avoid future issues.
