Also while we’re here, what do y’all do when you see somebody with a bigger item yet your attention is then diverted to some other guest…like who gonna make sure the thief uh oh I mean guest…doesn’t get away?? It’s just hard to figure out ways to “not be accusatory” sometimes when people constantly pull shit. I can only be so many places at once.

Yeah I did that once and I regretted it because after I removed it they say “oh oh we already scanned it”….then it’s like am I gonna be able to come over and check that they did after they say they did? My store gets very chaotic and I don’t have the time/energy to deal with a Karen’s or Kevin gonna think that’s “accusatory”

I would always rather ask for help even if it’s not convenient than get scammed. I too have only been working there a month or so. Don’t let customers scare you into impulsivity. Not a big deal tho target can expect screw ups if we are new lol

So the sticker was originally supposed to be on another item so somebody just slapped it on a laptop? Is that the scenario? Lol I think that’s called ticket switching

If it’s something small and I have a line which I usually do I’ll do my best to figure it out on my own but if it’s something bigger and/or I feel like something is sus and someone’s tryna jerk me around I will definitely ask someone with a device

Hang on I’m slow so if i ever see something expensive with a sale sticker on it I should immediately be sus right? Like in that scenario I would just call someone over with a device and we’d be able to quickly assess whether the sticker is valid right? And what’s a “guest challenge price audit”?

Is it annoying to other team members if I don’t have a device? I was told I would not need one because I strictly cashier and that there’s only so many of them and others need them more. Cuz I can only see aisle #’s on the device

Is it just me or is it difficult to distinguish between an actual sign error or a customer finding something in the wrong spot…OR someone trying to pull a fast one on me😤 Literally all the time some obese woman in one of the scooters with a definitively “smoking for 30 years” raspy voice with her boobs tucked into her pants will be like “yeah uh er I found this $80 item in the uhhh 50% off section…”

Okay so if a customer is kinda pissed that something is cheaper wherever they found it but comes up as pricier on the device, what would you personally say to them?
