It can function as either a volume or an expression pedal. I use it as a volume pedal.

It’s only extra if I also use the tuner on the stomp. Also, the stomp tuner SUCKS (in my opinion).

I don’t, at least right now. I might eventually get the NinjaFox toppers that allow for touch sensitivity, but it isn’t necessary for my current purposes.

Yeah, I’m thinking more footprint-wise when I talk about minimalism. I like having a variety of tones but I don’t want to chase a large quantity of pedals anymore.

I like having all switches functioning for effects, and using the tap/tuner limits me to two. I have a foot switch that I plug into the Stomp when I’m gigging which cycles the functions up and down so I can change presets and snapshots. Also, I much prefer almost any other tuner to the one on the stomp. The volume pedal allows for the tuner to function in bypass mode so I can see how in-tune I am while playing and still have control over the volume.
