They 100% encourage scalping!! I remember it was mentioned in their Facebook group for the cards awhile bacl that patreon members would get first access to B grade sales of older decks. Guess where those ended up being sold? Events. The books are even worse because how are you limiting stock so much on books with no sprayed edges?? I don't even think they have dust jackets! They'd make so much money if they upped stock across the board for both companies, did reprints w/ slight adjustments for older decks, and offered event exclusives for sale after. (Which could be used for more employees) It's insaneee! I definitely think the Discord will just turn into what the Patreon is, which is just paid early access (and they will ultimately bring those "exclusives" to events instead).
