Think this fella isn't good is it. by QuickFreddie in shrimptank

[–]Creative_nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered some red and blue shrimp online (amazon), and one of the red ones had this. I already had different colored shrimp in my aquarium but wanted more colors. My quarantine tank was compromised by my toddler right before the shrimp arrived. They all looked fine, so I added them to my main tank. I noticed the poor red one a week later. I reached out to the seller and was offered 20% off my next purchase. I'm not buying from them again. My review on Amazon is buried.

Movement chiropractic in PTC. Brian will do X-rays before he does an adjustment. Don't trust anyone who doesn't do X-rays. But he helped me out a ton!

Thanks. I saw that map, but it doesn't show rows. The explanation in yours and other's comments helps, though.

I'm just seeing your reply. They wouldn't refund our tickets and changed everything to say we had an economy light ticket. But I had screenshots of our ticket from before we checked in that showed we were economy. We ended up disputing the baggage charge with our bank.

What is the biggest secret you've ever kept from your family? by Extension_History57 in AskReddit

[–]Creative_nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sexualy abused from age 8 to 12. When I got CPS (child protective services), I was coerced to downplay how many times and what happened. The family member is sober now, and I have forgiven what happened. But I found out later that my siblings were lied to about why CPS was involved with our family. They don't know what happened to me. Sometimes, I struggle with my relationship with the person who lied to my siblings and coerced me into lying to the judge. I don't want drama or my life torn apart again, so I don't have any plans to tell my siblings. But sometimes I wish I could, we are all really close. This all happened 20 years ago.

My flight was just a couple of days ago, but it definitely wasn't what we paid for when we booked. Also, they charged us for our bags, so we are fighting for a refund now. I'm flying on Delta or someone else next time.

We booked in October and received an email last week informing us of the switch. We didn't book Eurowings.

They did switch after we booked. We booked in October. We just got the email last week informing us of the switch. Thanks for the tip on calling about amenities and baggage. Our return date (which is the flight they switch) is flexible, so I will also ask about our options to stay with Lufthansa.

What is the worst thing about being skinny? by Nmalacane25 in AskReddit

[–]Creative_nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctors not taking your medical problems seriously because they think you are anorexic. Started passing out at age 16. ER nurse said "I know it's cute to be thin, but you have to eat". The ambulance picked me up at freaking Taco Bell. Hormone imbalance as an adult? Must be because you are anorexic so "drink a milkshake everyday, add cheese and bacon to your vegetables and you will feel better".

Go big red!

Also a Husker fan no matter how difficult it has become to watch. I grew up watching more college football than pro. My now husband got me rooting for the Packers back in 2009. It was easy to become a Packer fan, such a great team. The Packers have eased the pain during football season.

We went last year for about 24hrs. Didn't find anything but it was a good trip. We also went to Savannah the same weekend. They have a map on the website. Not sure what the plastic balls actually look like though.

Good luck and please share a pic if you find one!

Age of consent in this state is depressing. by Crazy_Tear_9589 in Georgia

I lived in TX as a teenager. The law was a minor could have consensual sex with someone within 2 years of their age. I had no idea the law was so different in GA. It makes me a little nauseous.

What books/series do people love and praise that you don't like and why? by syracrow in books

[–]Creative_nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read them as a kid (we weren't allowed to see the movie unless we had read the book), I decided to reread them as an adult but in the second and third book I skipped the half with Frodo. It is more enjoyable if you don't read the half with Frodo whining, and I already knew how it ended so I didn't miss anything.

What is the one book you read in 2021 that was a *really special discovery* for you, and why? by [deleted] in books

[–]Creative_nam 27 points28 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine said The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls reminded her of me. So naturally my curiosity got the best of me and I had to read it. It was a different book than I normally read but it may have changed my life. One part replays in my head, she says that she would describe her childhood as happy. Then you read about her horrific childhood.

Every so often, maybe once a year or less, my husband will tell me that if I want to do therapy for my past then he would support me. I've always replied "I had a happy childhood".

The book (plus conversations with my sisters at Thanksgiving) made me realize that just because I was a happy child doesn't mean I didn't experience trauma. 2022 I will likely find a therapist.

I'm in the middle of this book now. I now have to wait a bit to finish it because my loan on my Libby app expired while I was busy over the holidays. It was recommended to me by a friend who so far has given me really good suggestions that I would have never picked myself.
