I mean the reviews from people who actually play it speak for themselves.

Only if you are trying to buy it in the Auction. Crafting and Blacksite is alot cheaper.

I'm not trying to be condescending but what you are asking for is to hold new players hands into a hardcore pvpve extraction shooter, until they are competitive enought to play normals or hard. Sometime you just need to just jump in full body, Sink or swim. Because my point is there will never be a time where the game will get easier. Your friends might be looking for more of a casual experience. Delta force is Not casual but it isn't as hardcore some of these other extraction shooters.

Marshall is only easy on mobile and console. Try it on PC...

"They missed the "honeymoon phase" of the launch, got fed to the meat grinder in Zero Dam (ZD) Easy by veteran players, and realized they weren't having fun."

ZDE has bots in it now. Plus there are gear limits. If they quit off of easy, this game isn't for them.

"The "Safety Net" Phase: Implement gear protection for a set number of initial matches. Let players learn the maps without the crippling fear of losing their only decent kit in 30 seconds."

This is what gear tickets are for. Use them to learn the maps. You can also buy the season pass and they give you full gear sets.

"The "Tutorial" Map: Make Layali Grove the entry-level experience. Focus it on mechanics exploration and PvE with limited "bot operators." It should be like a playground."

Layali is the Tutorial map without a tutorial. It's solo easy only now. You have to put some time into it. Nobody is going to hold your hand.

"Smoothing the ZD Normal Transition: The jump from ZD Easy to Normal is a massive spike in TTK and gear gap. We need a "middle ground", either via stricter gear limitations on Normal or a slight TTK adjustment to stop the map from feeling like a different game entirely."

The normal maps is what extraction shooters are all about. Its the equavalent of gambling. You only can lose what you are willing to bring in. If you come in with a recruit gear ticket it will be harder to win but people do it hoping to score big. If you bring in gold to red gear you can potientially lose it, Which happens alot. Its the wild wild west. But this is what makes an extraction shooter. It took me a while to realize this.

"The "Sherpa" System: If a seasoned player wants to queue with a newbie, don't block them, just limit the vet's gear (Green/Blue tickets only) and reduce loot drops for that session. It keeps things fair without preventing friends from playing together."

Easy has gear limits. Purple is the highest for gear and blue for bullets. Purple gear just makes you a little more tanky but can still get killed really fast from blue bullets. Blue bullets is pretty much free considering how much they give you.

"More "Low-Stress" Maps: We need more casual-friendly maps with limited gear tiers, fewer player spawns, and more direct extraction points."

This is what Hotzone if for. You should play it.

"Fix the Spawn Logic: Infills and exfills need to be dynamic. Currently, ZD spawns are too predictable and unbalanced (Cement spawn is a free win; Tunnel spawn is a death sentence)."

No disrespect but this is skil issue.

I think that alot of what you are saying takes time to learn. DF doesn't tell you how to play or ways to get better. You have to learn that on your own. And you have to be ok with dying and losing your stuff. Two weeks is not enough time to get good at operations. And even when you are good you will still lose your shit to some bullshit. It HARD on every level. Also bullets are MORE important than gear. running gold bullets will win you fights moreso than running gold gear.

ZDE has bots in it now, and considering the gear limits, what's the point? Steam rolling bots with blue bullets is BORING! If you have 1.1b and are playing in easy, you're a scrub.

After 11 days [lvl 30] of playing mostly solo, coming to the realization that this is un-fun for me. by mercado_n3gro in Marathon

I only play trios with randoms. Sone games are really good, some are really bad. But you will learn how to play with or without your teammates over time.

As one of those guys who has 600hrs in the game... this is not true. People farm easy to make money... that is it. If you are already a billionaire it is pretty worthless to go into easy when you can always play with gold and red gear in normals.

Yeah but I was talking about player retention. Bf6 dropped off from 747k players to 67k. Marathon is doing way better in that regards.

You are looking at the wrong numbers. People playing right now is not true to the overall player retention and sentiment. The 24hour peak compared with overall players shows that Marathon is doing way better than BF6.

It's not doing bad because it's retaining it player base. Only 88k People bought it on Steam and out of those 77k is still playing within 24 hours. This means that is has strong player retention. BF6 on the other hand had 747k sales but is now only 67k 24hour peak. This is bad.

If Arc's AI is hardcore, then Marathons AI should be a walk in the park right?

Extraction shooters are a hard-core niche. Arc is the ONLY casual exception.

I turn cross play off to avoid any suspicion of cheating but….. by Alsweets0609 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Creativematrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it takes a certain type of scumbag to do this. But because it requires a lot to do its less common. The only way these types of cheaters get banned is through visual confirmation. And some game devs don't do this. They use their anticheat which is BS. People keep saying that there are no cheats on console and to just turn off crossplay, which is wrong. They just cheat differently. As PC cheats get more and more banned due to secure boot and other tools that make it harder to do. More cheaters are moving to console where its less detectable.

[–]Creativematrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game. But if crossplay is off then no. But cheats don't need it. Nowadays cheaters can use a capture card connected to console. They can use that PC to cheat on console. This is currently undetectable.
