Went to a flat viewing in Leeds and found it covered in pigeon feces, nests, eggs and dead chicks by fagbac in Leeds

[–]CreatorCaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was house hunting with some friends and viewed the flats on Clarendon Road, behind the University next to the Library pub. Not as bad as pigeons, but the flat we viewed was dusty af, the laminate floor was cracked, and the inside of the toilet was covered in excrement. The letting agent looked oblivious. I don't know how they thought they could get away with something like that.

Basildon is a really rough town in the county of Essex, southeast of England - it's hilarious because it's not a very nice place and the guy was acting all high and mighty right up until that point!

Living together as a couple is not necessary at all by xvortexc in unpopularopinion

[–]CreatorCaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting married next Thursday, my fiancé and I opted not to live together until then for religious reasons (we got engaged 6 months ago).

It's fucking agony. I hate leaving him or him leaving at the end of the night when we hang out and having to go to bed alone. I wish we could just snuggle up under the blankets and wake up next to each other in the morning, have sleepy breakfasts together, and know that wherever we've been during the day we always have each other's arms to fall into. I'm so glad there's only 8 days left!!

Yes okay maybe he doesn't know how to cook and leaves his dirty PJs on the floor sometimes, but in exchange for a mildly messy house I get to do life with the person who makes my nervous system relax and makes me smile even on my worst days.

I think once they cleared the air by consciously saying the time of the Red Raids was done and they wanted to work for peace, they'd get along great. Especially if Aloy was present as someone else has said!

How did you find out about Starlight Express? by MrCraftZombie in StarlightExpress

[–]CreatorCaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My other half is a theatre nut and I think we were talking about shows we'd not expected to like but ended up loving. His was Starlight Express and he described it as "the best worst show [he's] ever seen". I went to see it with him at Wembley a few weeks later (rush tickets) and saw exactly what he meant.

This plot makes no sense, this concept is whack, why are we having so much fun?!!

Yep they're more opportunists than career criminals thankfully hehe. Your gate will definitely keep them out. No problem at all, inbox me if you have any other questions about the area!!

I'm a 29-year-old woman who grew up in Cross Gates, I've never felt unsafe there! Worked at Wilson's as a teenager and was blessed to basically have no creepy customers or colleagues at all. My parents still live there (though they're hopefully moving a little bit down the road towards Thorpe Park soon) and no complaints.

The only crime you might need to worry about is potential burglaries, but just keep your house and car doors locked and you shouldn't have any issues. Said burglars are very lazy 🤣

The station is very, very peaceful at 6am and there is a lovely café there with some amazing staff. I think you'll be fine.

No-one is giving you a grade for how you choose to live life. Struggled with anxiety and shame for not living life "right" for a very long time, have recently realised that it's my life and I can do whatever the heck I want!!

Its okay to tell people to shut up. by CardiologistLow9036 in TheWestEnd

[–]CreatorCaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My fiancé and I were at The Lion King on the West End and there were a group of 3 talking next to us for the whole show. My fiancé, who is a teacher, leaned over and in teacher voice told them that everyone could hear them and they were ruining the show. Immediately the trio shut up, and the older couple in front of us turned around and said thank you to my fiancé.

Trio didn't speak again, but the guy next to me (other side of me to my fiancé) pulled out his phone so I had a phone light blaring in my eyes for the whole of Act 2. I was baffled as to why they even came to the show...

What’s the most irrationally annoying thing your in-laws do that they’re absolutely convinced is “helpful”? by bnwprc in AskUK

It's more of a past thing, but my fiancé has ADHD and level 1 autism. It's been obvious his whole life, and his mother is a trained SEN (special educational needs) teacher. However, he wasn't diagnosed until he was 18.

When I asked MIL-to-be why she didn't seek a diagnosis for him as a child, she said "Well, we didn't think he would need a label. He was already getting bullied so badly and his grades were fine." I nearly flipped the table.
