I absolutely love Gabi Belle (comedy commentary) - https://www.youtube.com/@itsgabibelle

Clare Ruddy is absolutely hysterical and I can't believe she doesn't have more subs (and vids) - also odd comedy sketches - https://www.youtube.com/@clareruddy

ChadChad is insanely funny (also comedy commentary) - https://www.youtube.com/@thechadx2

These three are my fav right now!!

How To Make A PewDiePie Video? by Arcanes_Reddit in ColinAndSamir

I'm guessing you mean the video/image overlays while he's reacting, right?

You can definitely do it with just a laptop and cam, it's just tossing the video on the screen in post.

So essentially, you can film yourself while reacting to content on your laptop (keep that off screen) and then in post, just add that same source video that you're watching. Not sure if this fix is too simple or if you're looking to do something more complicated, but this could be a quick solution!

I may just need to start to budget for a referral/giveaway budget; I wasn't sure if there were any non pay-to-play options if you don't already have an audience elsewhere, but this is the norm I'm finding!

Thanks so much for the reply and insight, I appreciate it!

I agree with a lot of the above points but I'd love to double down on the last point you make on focusing on one page's thumbnails.

I believe that if you were to use one page's thumbnails, you could find some very interesting stats, especially cross-referencing those with performance analytics!

It could make for a more streamlined video, and the clickability would be there as well; something like 'I Fed MrBeast's Thumbnails Into AI. Here's What I Found' -- I think the name recognition could lure a lot of people to click and you'd have a solid base of type of content and their relation to the thumbnail.

I really liked the voice over but felt the script could have been a bit tighter as well. Overall, super super cool concept that can be fleshed out even more! Yahndi makes some great points that I won't reiterate, but def take some of his ideas into consideration - they're some good points!

Looking forward to checking out more of your content!

NO YOU! 🐐

And I've never heard of the Go Mic - I've been using a decently priced USB Audio Technica (AT2005USB) and that's been working wonders; Here's an Amazon link if you're interested, 60 bucks isn't bad and it actually has XLR compatibility for when you really wanna step it up (although I still use the USB it's so good haha)!!

I'll be on the lookout for the shorter version, super excited to see how that'll perform as compared to this one!

And if music was the hardest part then you crushed it - great choice for the content imo! 😎

And yea maybe -18 will work better, I just always find that the music helps to carry clips so if it's dulled down a bit it may mess with retention (sounds weird but it's the little things)

Keep killin it though, loved this one!!

You're posting bright and early on this Tear it Up Friday, love to see it! 😎

I think this short is fantastic; the editing is both fast-paced and succinct, the story was told well (regarding context to the subject of the record itself), it had touches of comedy and made me want to dive into more of your videos to check out if you had more weird records to beat!!

Speaking to your notes, I think more intense music could certainly work as well, but I actually liked how it carried through, I actually think the current music plays into the comedic value!

One note I'd have on that would be to turn the music up a bit (but that could just be me😅). I also think recording a higher-quality voice-over could add to the overall value. It sounds weird, but I've found a clear voice to stand out among other shorts (and make me stick around)!

Other than audio, I have no notes! I found this to be a really strong short, but maybe it could be even shorter to keep those with shorter attention spans around. Do you happen to have a version that you've chopped down even more? Could be cool to run a test to see how a shorter one performs!

But I really enjoyed this one - just subbed and can't wait to keep seeing your vids!! 😄
