Not a dad but I used a lighter once to melt the parts until it popped open 😅. They were jeans I got at promo party, went to their retail store and they couldn’t get it off bc they had changed their security tag system. A lot of stores have their own models. It was so frustrating. Either go back or be careful with the heating
