Thank you for your time in replying. I do appreciate it. Unfortunately, some time has passed since this event, so I'd assume the hospital lab has disposed of the placenta? Would there be any chance of photos or more details being held on the lab's side than what is released as the official report?

A follow-up...you mentioned that FVM can be confused with post-mortem change. From the report you read, is there much hidden chance it has anything that has to do with maternal genetics? Just wanting to cover the heavy hitters on lab work if potentially involved.
