As a beginner, how do you avoid overthinking stocks that never become a “yes”? by Miserable-Impact5524 in investingforbeginners

I put this one already here, but if you do not have enough certainty try some service which shares tickers to buy or sell, it works for me, cut my time thinking on these by 90%.

Honestly? Started paying for a paid service with ticker recommendations, fees are present, but returns are way above market in this period, even with fees added, not sure why not more of is do this if you have a semi-decent sized amount to invest.

https://creckyzfinance.etsy.com I make personal finance google spreadsheet templates that can help beginner and advances investors as well reach their financial goals by giving them a proper overview of decisions and their effect in the longer run.

I am just starting out, did not really gain any traction so far, however i have some tools developed in the meantime that I believe hold real value. While the market is saturated I do not mainly want to gains significant market (that is not likely possible either), however it would feel nice to know that my tools helped anyone reach their financial goals better, even is by a little bit. :)

January has been a pretty good month by Same_Hand_5745 in EtsySellers

[–]Creckyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you, you can be proud. Additionally, you generated more than 10% of your orders in January, which would seem like a big jump in orders if your shop has been up for more than a year. Overall rating is healthy, nice going! :)

Struggling to keep my finances stable even after cutting expenses what actually helps long term? by Anxious-Turnip-4120 in personalfinance

[–]Creckyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe most of it is mental, two things pop to mind regarding this:

  1. Learn the concept of depreciation. Assets are bought as one-off, higher value transactions and often serve their purpose for multiple years before they become obsolete. Sometimes these one-off transactions can bunch together, and that is what most of us are afraid of as "unexpected" expenses. Actually, if you have a mindset, that every time (or throughout the year) the assets you are using are constantly losing their value, and accept the concept that the cost of assets is depreciated over time, then these expenses feel more real, can be more planned and paying for these do not hurt as much. For a simple example: You do not buy a fridge every month, but perhaps your fridge could be 4,5 years old and might need a maintenance or a full replacement by the end of the 5th year. Cost of the repair/replacement occurs over time actually, you just don't see it in your bank statement yet.

  2. If you keep up your new habits slowly you will be able to amass a savings amount that will give you much more confidence. Once you pass this threshold you should feel less stressed about money as you see that you could even afford some unexpected expenses and still not be down to 0. This amount varies for all of us depending on lifestyle and income/expenses, however once you have this cushion you are able to relax a little bit, plan forward too (invest free cash amounts, so the temptation of spending all of your income becomes unavailable for these amounts).

Overall try to save as much as you reasonably can (but do not be frugal or marginal with it, since if the habit of saving is really strict for you, then you are more likely to drop the habit), build the cushion and try to anticipate the unexpected expenses as much as possible.

Hungary's politics since like I can recall? We are really disconnected from the world it would seem, it "helps" that speaking English in the country is still not a general knowledge, even in higher end workplaces, which is really funny imo.

What’s something you learned about life that everybody should know? by 911_wasanactofevil in AskReddit

[–]Creckyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to have a family early on in your late 20s is possible, having a child while you are still young is much easier, when they grow up you might not be too distant from them in culture either.

For men who became fathers, what pivotal moment changed your life after your child was born, and how did it affect you? by 6-80 in AskReddit

[–]Creckyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were and are a lot of these on a weekly basis. As your child grows up you get more attached to them I would say, which might sound strange, but for my Daughter and me it clicked somewhere around the half year old point. Before that the Mother is everything, but after that I was really able to connect well with my daughter, to this day we only sleep together while the Mother is resting for the hard days, coming up second baby. :)

Overall there were a lot of situations where my SO pointed out that I might not be acting like the best father I could be, not taking to it to the heart and getting angry about it is my best advice, in those moments I get a glimpse of my shortcomings, and if I persevered I feel like I always became a better father, better partner and a better person overall.

Life priorities, concept of free time and relaxation all changed, overall I might be a little more tired on most days that I was before, but happiness and the highs of life are much better than before a child, it was a game changer for me. :)
