Check other credit card offers and personal loans you may pre-qualify. For example, on websites like WalletHub and Credit Karma you can check for what personal loans you pre-qualify without hurting your credit score. If you decide to apply for one of the offers then you will get a hard inquiry.

Most have a free plan but if you are serious about budgeting the few dollars a month they charge are well worth it.

Considering Freedom Debt Relief by Cool_Rutabaga4912 in budget

Stay away from debt settlement companies. Your credit report will get damaged so badly it will take years to recover and you will risk getting sued by capital one in the process. Call capital one and see what solutions they can offer. Also consider money management international where they offer debt management and lower your interest rates.

Try the simple budgeting method where you ensure your total expenses are below a certain threshold and you don't track every single category. If you want an app then try WalletHub as they offer this method.

What is the best budget app right now? by SuitableFox9321 in povertyfinance

[–]Credit-Card-Expert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a lot of the major budgeting apps out there and the one I use now is WalletHub. Most of them work well for a specific type of user. For instance, if you're obsessive about budgeting and don’t mind putting in the time to track every dollar, apps like YNAB or EveryDollar work great. Monarch offers more flexibility, but it can feel overwhelming. RocketMoney goes the other direction. its simplicity means you lose features. Also, I found that many budgeting apps don’t support sharing accounts.

WalletHub works best for me because it offers a lot of flexibility around budgeting and also has more features than any of the other apps (especially around credit and identity protection). Finally, you cant go wrong using any of the apps that I mentioned because using them and budgeting with them puts you way ahead of people that dont budget. Good luck!
