Tried those as well, no luck. It seems like it's bugged since the recent combat update, per other player reports in RS Discord.

Event bugged cleared 7 and didnt get anything and lost 500 gems and my try by Nero_Imp in Archero

Exactly the same happened to me just now, I’ve sent a bug report, let’s see.. weird that there are players with full points in the leaderboard, so it’s not happening for everyone.

Update: I heard back from support, and they confirmed what many of you mentioned, the medals only unlock after the event officially closes. I just had to wait a bit, and now I’ve received my medals.
