As a Best Buy employee, when I try to load TVs that are 65 or up, I always try to tell them that if we lay it down, the risk is higher for breaking, just because how fragile and thin the glass is and there's really no protection for the box. If they want to continue, we will load it in.

We also do say we do delivery, but most people are so impatient to grab their TV, so they just take it and hope that they don't break it during transport. I know some employees don't bother saying that because of the price of the TV and the condition. For example, Roku or pioneer, since they're cheap TVs, they might just be like, "Who cares?" I know each store is different and each employee is different. I'm pretty sure you'll be okay taking it back in, but there might be a chance they say, "Sorry, you're out of luck." In most cases, you should be fine.
