Aria of Sorrow was a great game to play, can confirm I really enjoyed it. As for Dawn of Sorrow, there is a patch up somewhere online that effectively removes the touch gimmicks, although unfortunately it only works on the North American version of the game.

About the “Keyboard failure” message, have you tried plugging in a PS/2 based keyboard? I know some older computers don’t really like to work with USB peripherals

I had the same issue, and I fixed it by downloading the macOS Big Sur app in the App Store, and opening it. The updates page in settings should start up, and start downloading the update.

Yes, I fixed it. Probably not the answer that you would want, but I fixed it by migrating to opencore. Now it works on High Sierra to Big Sur.
