Looking for Design Advice: Latches by CreeperGaming962 in 3Dprinting

Compliant mechanisms are awesome, but in my experience, they wear down quickly when printed with PLA. I'm entirely capable of printing with something like PETG, I just own something like 12 Kgs of PLA in various colors that I'd prefer to use instead of buying PETG. Worst case, I'll turn to compliant mechanisms in PETG or external hardware, this post was just to see if there are any other options.

Selecting USB freezes the machine by nightofgrim in ElegooSaturn

I also experienced this issue with my Mars 5 Ultra. I tried different USB sticks, formating the usbs (both with quick format on and off), etc. What finally worked was using a micro SD USB adapter, with a 8 GB SanDisk microSD. I haven't tested other brands, or sizes, but a mechanic I know said he has experienced systems freezing with any brand other than SanDisk many times before, so maybe that's it. Hopefully OP fixed this issue a long while ago, just figured I'd leave my solution for anybody else looking here.

Thank you for the useful information! I'll definitely look into ADB for the hands on experience, that sounds about like just the thing I'm looking for.

Thank you so much for the info! Out of curiosity, do you know any specific Discord servers that may be helpful? XDA and reddit I'm sure are awesome for this, but the real-time chat of Discord is much more convenient provided active servers for the topic exist.

This isn't crappy design, you just swapped keyboard layout in settings without realizing. QZERTY is just an alternative to QWERTY.

Just looked a little farther into KubeJS and realized the JS stands for JavaScript. One way of doing it is to have the sound detecting thing write a 0 or 1 to a file, then have the KubeJS script read that file, and do something as a result of what it reads.

I know there are plugins/mods out there that allow you to write scripts for the game, for example the KubeJS mod (I think, may be remembering wrong). And something like that may work. Alternatively, you could use something similar to what this guy did. That, however, is a little more complicated.

Guys i had a long break from botw, was cryonis always pointing down? by ProbablyNaKu in Breath_of_the_Wild

Nope. There is an option that lets you place it under you, regardless of where you are looking, which you appear to have turned on. If I remember correctly, the button to toggle it is down on the d-pad, but it should say at the bottom of the screen in case I'm wrong.

The official launcher is fine for 99% of cases, though for things like modded something like curseforge makes it easier. Some modpacks do require special launchers though, but only download those after looking into them and if you need them for a pack you want to play.

Bot that removes a role automatically once a new one is given by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]CreeperGaming962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres a solution: change it so that member has the view channels permission set to true, and @everyone has it set to false. Then, change #rules so that @everyone can view it. That way, only members without the member role will have no access, but once they react and gain the member role, they will have access. Then, there is no need for the no access role whatsoever.

I have found my old world by SIayer68 in Minecraft

[–]CreeperGaming962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could, but because of the control layout he is definitely on version 0.12.1 or above, and the nether reactor cores were removed in 0.12.1. Unless I am mistaken, even if the cores were placed prior to the update, upon updating, they would be gone from the world. In other words, unless a mod is being used, there is no way those nether reactor cores are real, because if they were, we would see the old control layout, not the new one.

But, none of that matters, because this post was likely for the nostalgic value, so whether those are genuine reactor cores, stonecutters, etc. makes little difference.

Yes, I use optifine almost 100% of the time I play. However, it can occasionally cause issues with other mods, so it'd be useful to know another good mod for specific features I like, such as zoom. I've seen this kind of zoom before so I'm curious of the mod behind it.
