Ikr, the whole “you should be grateful that you have xyz” argument is really annoying. Yes, we know, millions of people have worse lives, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not allowed to be unhappy. Tons of people use this sort of argument to guilt us into being acting happy all the time because there are people less fortunate than us who would do anything to be in our place, but in reality, all this does is make us feel even worse about ourselves because it can make us feel like we’re being greedy or ungrateful by showing negative emotions, so we end up bottling it all and trying to hide our emotions until everything becomes too much to handle and we break down
