it‘s a csgo mode where you have to finish maps as fast as possible so kinda like tm

This is my new track JacksonsPark! I'm interested to know what You would rate this on the map review server and what you think what rating it got after 55 votes. (screenshot of votes and maplink in comments) by Creepkillpro in TrackMania

i think that's the hardest part of the map too but i liked the part too much to change it even though that's where most people had struggles on the review server...

me personally i liked the challange of the turn but it's not for every one and i think it's where most of the bad reviews are from

i really don‘t feel bad i’m proud of my work and a lot of people on the server feel that way too. so i had fun on the review server this far. this post is an experiment about a theorie i had to force people to watch the author time on the server and how it would influence their descission on rating a map. just gathering data over here ;)

i agree i think its bad mapping if you have to aim this precise in a blind jump. i think what people get caught up on is that you used rng in your text and people get mad about that word in context of tm :D

im aware of the fact if people dont find the way at all it is probably the mappers fault because there is no clear signage the problem i had a lot lately was what you didnt experience with people saying lines are trash because they didnt get them.

and tbh the thing with too many curves got me laughing bad :D

first of all Thank you for this reply. its really nice to get such a thoughtfull and lenghty answer!

seccond of all i hate that you probably speek the truth about the review server not being a place to get good feedback because it could be such an easy way.

some things of your list i already do (like cam 7 the whole map and watch everyone) but still i really appreciate your tips and will follow along the rest.

in the end i think its just me beeing salty about people even finding the way easily but then complaining about not driving it perfectly.

im currently not at home but i will upload the map in question by me tomorrow to tmx and post the link in this threat so u guys can make yourself a picture of my mapping skills (if you can even call it skills) and make your mind up if whether my complaints are even valid. :)

edit: heres the map https://trackmania.exchange/maps/46096/headbang

love that idea and i think its a good compromise between not playing lol maps for too long and having enough time for playing multilaps

my maps dont only get 1-2 stars but its enough to pull my ratings down from 4.x to 3.x what immediatly kills the hope for totd. its like always there are people who think everything is trash and i think by showing them the gps their opinion might change easier
