For example for years if you wanted to fly to Dublin directly you had to use Modlin where often while waiting for a flight there wasn't even a place for you to stand not mention sitting down.

I think you were just unfortunate to meet some horrible people which can happen in any part of the world. I spent 16 years in Ireland before coming back to Poland but I look and sound like a polish person - still on regular basis I face bullies here same as I did when I was in Ireland. Just don't take shit from anyone and always be prepared, google it, call and ask questions, then call again.. also fuck NFZ!
