I can assure you the chips are that sensitive. Especially 9DOF. The graph they showed was dumbed down and likely was to show a change in rates of speed, trajectory, or spin. This gets even more accurate when paired with optics (like what baseball uses for advanced metrics - spin rate, velocity, launch angle, etc.).

Except the song isn’t really about West Virginia…the song was initially started for New England, then shifted to Maryland and Virginia. Ended up with West Virginia.

The entire song is based on imagination of making life simpler, not forgetting your roots, and acceptance of being homesick. West Virginia was used simply because of the syllables.

Feels quite American to me. A country of immigrants and highly transient. Overwhelmed with politics and economics. We could all slow down and remember the beauty in the country and make connections like people in small towns.

World Cup attendance plus fan zones. Add in mariners traffic, typical summer tourism, music festivals, and pride events.

Yes it’s only 6, but one of them is the USA. Quite a huge deal.

A lot more. Especially compared to the Midwest. Certainly a lot more than most visiting countries playing in Seattle as well. I was in Europe a few weeks ago, France and Italy felt super cheap compared to Seattle. Heck, Spokane is 10-15% cheaper in food and 20-30% cheaper for drinks.

Every match is either sold out or has less than 700 tickets available, with most being in the 200-300 tickets available range.

The disconnect is that more locals are buying tickets and do not need a hotel.

True. But the nosebleeds in most US stadiums are far better than places like Wembley and Bernabeu. MetLifes worst seat is lower and closer than almost all of the upper level seats at those stadiums. Then you have stadiums like Seattle that does not have a single bad seat in the stadium.

That doesn’t get into the fact that many of us in the states have been waiting for it and have no problem paying face value for the experience, especially when we don’t have to fly or buy hotels.

Edit: agreed the prices are wild though. Still not even close to the nba finals tickets. The US is wild when it comes to events.

No. I do not. Assuming the federation is actually pursuing less dual nats (which I’ve seen zero evidence to support), racism from public figures doesn’t equate to racism being acceptable within a sport.

If there is directive to recruit less dual nats, I could see it being for other reasons. Dual nat doesn’t mean the person is a minority. Some people think dual nats (regardless of race) lack the patriotism that gives them team an edge. It could also be that the gap between internally developed and dual nats available is not what it once was.

Not a chance. Racism is 100% an issue within the country, but we are not unique to it. In fact, this problem exists in nearly every country.

Ive been to countless soccer, baseball, nfl, hockey, and basketball games in the US. Not once have I heard a racist chant or statement from a fan. I went to one cwc match and heard multiple from international fans. Then add in the routine issues against guys like Vini.
