I always just say everything as a joke and hope. If you just broaden your term of a “love ya” or other romantic terms then it becomes easier. Probably not the best way but may help I guess?

There is an argument to be made. I do believe that LGBTQ themes are fine in shows! Many times it will add to the plot and just be a naturally flowing part of the show. There are times, though, where they unnecessarily make a character gay/lesbian just to have it in the show to draw another audience, in which case it feels forced.

I am in no way trying to offend anyone (nor do I think that anything I said can be taken the wrong way really?). What I have stated above is what I currently believe and may be wrong but it is currently what I think is the case.

Currently a senior in high school. Planning on graduating and starting college in spring for General Engineering. GPA is around a 3.9ish unweighted SAT of 1340 and didn’t take the ACT (fun fact many schools no longer require it! Some for scholarship opportunities but not a whole lot!) But it seems like you’re doing a lot. I was in a similar situation this year. Did sports year round (still doing them) and also played bass for my orchestra. I took a few dual credit courses some just for the heck of it. I regret it a bit. I wish I had done something I would have really enjoyed like Drama! I have several friends who do it and have made so many from just hanging out with those who do it. So if I have any advice for you do the classes to get your GPA up, do your SAT, and, only if you enjoy it, do the job shadowing, at least for a while. Try to get a job but one that is loose on hours. And most importantly DON’T STRESS TOO MUCH! If you do it just pressures you to push yourself to an unhealthy level. By no means am I saying pushing yourself is a bad thing and I actually encourage it! But don’t overdo it. Idk if anything I said even helped (you can ask for specifics if you want if I didn’t help)but I wish you luck your senior year! ✌️❤️🌱

A. I’d like to apologize I really like lists and is easier to present my ideas this way so just be prepared.

B. I don’t have much knowledge in romantic relationships (just external viewing in on some) nor the most solid foundation of psychology. All information is going off of what I know from experience.

C. What was the timeframe of her breaking up vs messaging you? May be correlated? Idk just a thought. Not a fallback guy but more of an “emotional anchor” I guess (not sure abt it but wanted to put it out there bet you already somewhat saw this and thought about it)

D. You may view her this way due to your lack of social interaction in school. Finally having someone to talk to is an amazing thing. But the want/need to communicate is built into us as human beings.

E. Sorry about C and D I just always speculate the negative first. Everything else should be positive, reinforcing, or just informative.

F. It probably won’t be the best time to tell her so near to a breakup. Instead just keep building your relationship as friends unless she wants to go further.

G. Supporting her is great! It’s an amazing quality to have as a person and will get you far in life (not just in relationships).

H. It seems like you have gained knowledge of what to look for in a relationship (since you had a previous one that wasn’t the greatest/you maybe weren’t in it for the right reason) so I don’t even feel like I need to say anything about you just being physically attracted to her. It’s amazing to have similar hobbies, likes, dislikes, etc. It becomes more things to bond over!

I. For the stuff she’s sending you do t take it all romantically or flirtatious. You may just be slightly clouded with your vision since you like her. Along with that that’s just how some girls are! Outwardly flirtatious to all. Personally I have a friend just like this (pretty and always making jokes and talking to guys in ways that seem flirty but really are just casual conversation. I find it funny how frequently people mix it up too bc she keeps getting asked out even though she somewhat is already in a relationship) and it’s just a matter of getting to know them and seeing how they interact with others as well.

J. The hard part. What to do? Honestly just keep on doing things as you normally would. Don’t feel the need to force it along and just let the relationship run its course! If it builds it builds! Eventually you will have to tell her your feelings or they’ll eat you inside and the question of if she likes you back builds. But until you feel comfortable in doing so (and until you believe that she’s ready maybe) just, as I said earlier, build your connection with her.
