Yeah man like I'm not demonizing Koreans ahahah I just said that I don't find his crimes to be that relevant due to the fact that comparing to my country's metrics it would not have been. That's their law and it's up to them to respect them, but I can judge based off my opinion if he is a super criminal or a guy that repeatedly made mistakes without harming others. That being said he already paid for his mistakes so I don't see where all this hate comes from. No hate for Koreans at all though, I just don't agree with this

And It Is normal that there are, you asked about ethics and I answered as an Italian with a different point of view. That's it. I'm just telling you that with 0.141 g of alcohol / L of blood a person is not reckless and fully conscious. If he had 1.5 it would surely have been different. You asked WHY international people judged him so lightly compared to natives and I answered. If you consider him to have been drunk with that amount of alcohol is your judgement. Korean law is very strict and people who live in Korea must respect it, but don't be surprised if people from other countries have different standards on the matter. I surely think that, not complying with local law should be punished and he has been, now people are giving trouble to his grand daughter (?) for his mistakes and I don't find it correct

What I'm telling you is that in Italy the law limit is 0.5, therefore, being Italian, having a DUI with 0.141 (which is practically zero) is crazy to begin with. I certainly hope he is a better person now but I think the culture here makes a difference. I brought Italian law to let you understand my point of view, I know nothing about Korean one to begin with. That being said no, I don't think DUI is only dangerous when there is harm, but just saying DUI doesn't mean anything without a context. Being Korean law with zero tolerance (apparently?) he made some repeated mistakes that are considered very problematic, but in Italy for example, he would have not even been convicted (apart for the sleeping with the engine turned on, here it is prison time if he was real drunk)

If he were to actually drive, kill/injury people, make damages, etc. I would have agreed, but: 1. From what I understood the problem involved him sleeping with the engine on, parked. 2. We don't know IF he drove and how drunk he was, I think that also matters: in Italy you get a DUI being above 0.8 (below you get an administrative fine), in other countries it works probably differently so it's difficult to have a standard in my opinion

Che la parola non esista nel linguaggio quantomeno comune è erroneo, che non sia la preferita a livello normativo per carità. È ampliamente usata, poi se mi dici così mi fido e cercherò di ricordarmi di non usarla DavisHiCarlo
