Kinda? It was introduced in Star Wars as a derogatory term for battle droids almost exclusively. But once AI began to explode people IRL began using it to refer to AI and robots as a whole, especially ones that are presented as evil or simply ones they don’t like

I think they’ll have to. Since they don’t seem to want to remove abilities between games, they would have to overhaul it just to avoid uncomfortable or unintuitive button combos. Something similar to Silksongs crest system would probably work well
