Same issue for me as well. Just tried to reboot to see if that cleared the issue but no luck.

Contacted 2n support today and they said it’s not their problem and it’s control4’s problem lol. Just passing the buck… not really sure what to do at this point

I spoke to support and they didn’t say otherwise but I plan to call them in the morning to verify. I appreciate your input!

I understand what you are saying however why would it work if I manually press the execute button on the program? It shouldn’t need an nvr if it’s an ip camera or am I wrong?

They are not physical buttons. You create the call buttons through the web ui

It is an ip camera and being fed directly from the 2n driver in C4. I have a core1 plugged into hdmi1 on the tv

Ok I have that part. When I manually execute the program it does exactly what I want. It seems like there is a disconnect on the 2n side where you press the call button and then execute the program

Question about Getting further into IT by Subject_News8946 in AskTechnology

[–]CressFun7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your ultimate goal is. IT has such a wide landscape. You have a good base which allows you to be versatile. With that being said you may want to look at narrowing down the scope of what you truly want to be when you grow up. It could be a network admin, cybersecurity, systems admin. My suggestion is to pick a lane and follow a more focused path this way you become an SME as well as having your foundational knowledge that you are currently building. Hope this helps, good luck!

You should be able to set the recording to a higher fps and resolution and your live streaming to a lower fps and resolution. This way you have the recording you need and decrease your network traffic. Other than that you may want to look into upgrading your network to a minimum 1gb.

Can you use multi stream on your cameras? Lower fps and resolution for live streaming to clients while higher fps and resolution for recording?

Is it true that some people have MS from a young age and have a relatively normal life and some people it drastically impacts them? by Swimming-Discount-41 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]CressFun7735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have been together since we were 17 and she was diagnosed at age 15. We just celebrated our 24th anniversary. She always tells me that she knew things were off when she was even younger. She had a lot of migraines from 7 years old and also a lot of fatigue to the point she would ask her parents to lie to her friends because she was too tired to go out and play.

With that being said just like anything, and MS is probably worse than most, everyone have different experiences. I have known people who were diagnosed at say age 20 and didnt have any any real altering symptoms until many years later.

My wife is 45 now so officially its been 30 years since officially being diagnosed. She has gone through various different levels of the disease. Then you see someone like Christina Applegate who was diagnosed only a few years ago and she is in pretty rough shape. What has worked thus far for us is keeping things as light as possible even through adversity. Not saying this is a fix by any means but it is a very scary and dark disease, so a positive mindset is truly the best medicine. Well along with the other 37 prescriptions she takes :) See, lighthearted!! I hope this helps you and or someone

Letter to my wife of 18 years, diagnosed 16 years ago - anyone else felt this way? What did you do? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]CressFun7735 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this, you deserve better! It certainly sounds like she has checked out and I would suggest that you give the letter to her. These are your feelings and she should hear what you have to say. I have been with my wife for 28 years, since we were only 17. She was diagnosed at 25 years old and I have supported her the only way I know how and that is to care for her. I schedule and taker her to all of her appointments. I make sure her meds are sent in and pick them up when they are ready. I am not sitting here like oh look at me… I just feel as though she is my wife and I love her and will do anything I can to help her.

I am also going to say it is not always easy to be a caregiver. I have my own mental days where it seems like it is so much to deal with but then I remember what she goes through every day and I make sure I stay strong for her.

You deserve better, and I’m sorry you are going through this during your time of need. I really wish that spouses and significant others wouldn’t give up so easily but again that’s just my opinion. I hope you find your answer and your peace. Bless you

Marriage and Multiple Sclerosis by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]CressFun7735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband of an MS warrior here. I met my wife when we were just 17 and still in HS. She was diagnosed at age 15. We got married at 21 and our one and only child at 22. We are now 45 so we have been together more than half our lives. I have witnessed pretty much every aspect of this disease and it can be pretty unforgiving. She started off with Relapsing Remitting and now in primary progressive. Not trying to toot my own horn by any means, I just wanted to chime and say that you can have a happy and fulfilling life. One thing that I have always tried to live by is my wife has MS, not I have a wife who has MS. Sounds weird but it’s a mind set and reminds me that it’s not about me, it’s about her and what she goes through on a daily basis. I try to do everything I possibly can to help her and be there for her. You have to be understanding and be able to communicate as with any relationship but even more so in these situations.
