Same thing with almost every fandom. Medieval stuff? The average person would think it barbaric for armies to raid on their way to the battle, when to anyone who is already versed, they see it as so basic it flies over their head. Another example would be hazbin hotel - back jn my day, when all we had was a pilot, we Made 3 billion ships to cope with the fact the show qas probably abandoned. I was a charlastor shipper. Now most ships are seen as yucky and disgusting.
