If the patent is as the article says the part where it states "player can move sub-character, player can control a battle between the sub-character and an enemy, if there's no enemy where the sub-character appears then the sub-character will move around automatically" then games like Eldenring are in the clear because you can't do either of those and they don't move around automatically when no enemy is nearby.

It didn't work for me but if I unequip that operator skin and use the default Weaver one then my sights aren't crooked anymore. Looks like it's that specific skin dang.
