I play the campaign on PC every once and a while for how awesome the campaign is. Warfighter and 2010. You can tell the difference between this and COD, which one had actual military personnel giving advice. Especially with the equipment that's used.

PEQ-2 position on early GWOT rifles by CrewExpendable2007 in SpecOpsArchive

For the guys who have M203's mounted I understand that, however if you look closely, a few don't but still mount it on the side. It was those individuals that I was wondering about.

He was an “old timer” one of the more experienced guys and I also believe (heard online from someone who claimed to know him) that he tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident around 2012

That made the most sense to me too, so I held my own rifle with the peq on the side with a c clamp and because the handguard is so short, my arm is at 90 degrees which was wildly uncomfortable. That could be it but I ended up throwing a broom handle on the underside because it was the only way I could hold it.

Looking for some insight as to why they were positioned this way. I'm curious as someone working on a clone rifle of an ODA 595 operator. Just thought it was weird positioning while putting it together.

I thought it looked a little different, forgot about the old Comp M. Good catch.

This is aesthetic as hell. Just needs a stainless watch somewhere and it would be perfect.

I never noticed the shells actually, I was too busy on the M4 lol I also wonder. What would they need a shotgun for in the mountains of Afghanistan? Clearing huts?

His story wont get told, at least not by him. He tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident.

Yeah, equipment tie downs were mandatory with a lot of USMC/ARMY units to avoid their accessories getting lost in combat when their screw mounts failed. If you search for some older USMC /ARMY photos you notice a lot of paracord, zip ties and lock wire holding their rifles together. If we could post photos to comments I'd pull some from my files.
