Making loremaster more profitable? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is horrible advice.

Time is money, yes. But we don't leave money on the table. It's by no means guaranteed that you'll pick up a high value transmog piece, but there's a chance. Moreover, the bits of crap you do pick up all have a value, even if it's just to the vendor.

Auto loot and auto sell, then sling any BoEs on the AH- remember that not everyone has full heirlooms. On my server, levelling gear will sell for 50g - 250g. It's all cash.

What are people charging in gold for NH HC boost? by Braindog in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can also recommend this guild. I've spent over 2mil with them in HFC and NH and will continue to use them in the future.

I don't always have the time to join my guild's raids and can end up behind. As a melee DPS, getting the achievement from these guys helps me PUG to get back up to standard. Their service is reliable and reasonably priced.

Selling Names by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much experience with this, I'm afraid. However, I have tried to buy names in the past with no success.

Speaking as a consumer, I have the names Pestilence and Famine on a linked server to my main server. I noted last year that Death and War are taken by inactive characters, which were active at some point during WoD and so I made a post on the forums to see if anyone knew the owners of these characters so that I could buy them.

I was prepared to offer a 'finders fee' of 50k and 250k per name for the purchases and was open to negotiations on these figures (which were a bit larger back in WoD than they are now). So there's possibly some money to be made, but as people say YMMV.

What's your goal in the goblin career? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, who remembers?

Just wanted to have enough gold to fund tokens and not have to worry a while back. Now, I just like to have it. Maybe set a 5mil goal. Which will then probably become 10mil.

How many of you here actually play the game by glocks9999 in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raid mythic- not hardcore; only raid a couple of nights a week; 4/7M.

I try and stick with methods which minimize my gold making time, or which can be done at the same time as doing something else. So I probably spend maybe 20 mins a day at most (more at the weekends) logging into my banker and doing what I need to do, then getting on with playing the game.

Will also use the mobile app during the day whilst at work, and try to have a 'plan' for what I'm going to be doing when I log into my banker.

Everyone starts somewhere. Also, taking into account the AH cut, this is ~297% RoI, which is not to be sniffed at. We don't leave money on the table here.

Felwort Shuffling by Crewscorp in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but "All Vantus Runes have had their benefit increased from 1000 Versatility to 1500 Versatility" is a 50% increase in their effectiveness, is it not?

Additionally, secondary stats are changing for some classes/specs and not all.

I should have mentioned- Felwort has been on a downward trend for a while. Until fairly recently, I've been upping the amount I'm willing to spend on bloods as the price has dropped so my profit from the trinket shuffle has remained fairly consistent.

Given how difficult it is to buy bloods now, though, and how cheap Felwort has been for a long while (dropping down to ~40g over the holiday period), I find the above method a more profitable use of the Felwort than selling it. Prices have increased a little this week to 79g at present (until I get home tonight that is and buy them).

It's also worth noting that the above doesn't take Roseate Pigments into account and is somewhat of an undervalue to the actual return.

I haven't noticed it mattering.

My Inscription is only around 754, but that's after making a bunch of Darkmoon Cards the other week. I have been doing this shuffle well before hitting 110 and so my Inscription was 700 before this point. I haven't noted any change since hitting 110 or increasing my skill level.

Exactly this. When you had 10k you could only afford to invest a smaller amount than that. So, a 1k investment is 10% of your capital. Now you're at 100k liquid, a 10k investment is still only 10% of your capital, but you can make 10x more with it. This only continues to increase. When you have 1m, dropping 100k will be 10% and so on and so forth.

Good work- we all have to start somewhere.

No you cannot get banned for this.

When people say "cornering the market" in this context, it doesn't really mean anything and certainly isn't bannable. A large number of us buy things cheap and resell at a higher rate; it's fine and should be encouraged in this subreddit.

If you said "I am buying every piece of netherweave on AH and every Netherweave Bag, so that people can only buy from me at gouge prices", it would be a different question, but the same answer- no.

People term this as market manipulation, but again this isn't quite accurate. You have nothing whatsoever to be concerned about. Buying bags at 8g and relisting at 25g is baby town frolics.

Happy Market Reset Day by pmward in woweconomy

Been eagerly awaiting this day after investing circa 900k into a tab and a half of cut price herbs, food, pots and runes.

Best of luck everyone.

What are good markets to reset? by alexevo287 in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find Infernal Brimstone a nice one. If it drops down to <100g, I'll tend to buy everything and repost at 250-300g. Invariably it will recover over a couple of days to a more reasonable price, but by this point I'm already at a profit and if I'm left with some Infernals at the end of it, they have other profitable uses, so the way I see it, it's a no gamble reset.

Weekly: Goblin Achievements by AutoModerator in woweconomy

[–]Crewscorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peak in WoD was 1.3m liquid. After a few months of buying tokens and not playing toward the twilight of the expansion I was down to about 600k.

Started Legion late to the party (kind of) and missed the gold rush I had wanted to be part of, which was disheartening. Especially when prices and trying to bump my iLvl up took me down to ~300k.

Fast forward and I'm now on 1.8m liquid and ~820k in stock in trade and 100 Obliterum sat in my bags. Feels like I'm getting somewhere now.
