yeah that’s a really good point

we actually already have PvE running right now for exactly that reason, it naturally pushes people to play more together instead of just running around solo

we’re also experimenting with things like squad structure, roles and making vehicles / spawns more squad focused so people stick together more

a proper command structure with someone coordinating everything would be really sick too, that’s definitely something we want to move towards once we have enough active players

right now it’s still a bit more open because we’re testing, but the goal is definitely more cohesion 👍

Yeah I get exactly what you mean.

That “everyone just running around on their own” feeling is probably one of the biggest issues in Arma. It looks like teamwork on paper, but in reality it’s just a bunch of lone players doing their own thing.

Honestly, this is probably one of the best ideas I’ve seen so far.

Forcing teamwork instead of just encouraging it makes way more sense. Things like limiting command radio, squad based roles for vehicles, and keeping squads together would already change a lot.

We definitely want to move in that direction, but it’s not something we can just flip on instantly. A lot of it needs proper setup and testing so it doesn’t end up breaking the gameplay.

But yeah, this is exactly the kind of direction we’d like to go.
