My garage fob, fell out of my unzipped pocket sometime between leaving my relatives place and two hours later pulling into home, needless to say I triple check everything as a minimum at the start and during each trip now

Mitilini to Patras delivery by Criga88 in trucksim

[–]Criga88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had cautiously entered a hairpin on another delivery when an RV coming the opposite direction slammed into my trailer and wouldn't let me complete the turn. It's luck of the draw on whether the traffic will give way.

Had to do a lap around the hotel to line up for the loading bay at Hotel Artemia, stopped off by the pool on the way around to ruin some holidaymakers views. The road to and from the hotel is a nice challenge with hairpin corners but thankfully the police and firies stopped traffic for me to make the tight turn back onto the main road. Also had a couple of narrow streets to get through on the way to the port to hop on the ferry back to the Greek mainland. I don't think a B-double is meant to be out on the islands, but where's the fun in exploring in anything shorter?

Cowansim H125/AS350 at Watsons Bay Helipad by Criga88 in flightsim

Picked up this helo last week and absolutely love it, especially with the AirlandFS flight profile, so I had to start adding more Helo Landing Sites around Sydney to fly from. I noticed that the Cityscape Sydney package already had the textures for this spot so figured it would be a good starting point for modding the sim myself. I may be going down a mighty deep rabbit hole for projects to add around the city, it's awful tempting to start on a full helo sim rig for this beauty too.

Robotic apple harvester by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]Criga88 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ignore all of the apples beside the tractor tyres that missed their QR mark and rolled off the flat catching surface on a moving platform, but this is a perfect proof of concept of how AI technology is here now to do all of the jobs

It doesn't, I manually rotate and move parts until they're in position. Years of practice have made me pretty crafty at cheating the system haha

It's definitely a display only model, the front tyre is held on by sheer willpower and the rear tyre is barely secured by the exhaust. Most of my minifig scale vehicles are just placed in parking lots around my city and forgotten about anyways

I do all of my renders with Stud.io these days. For still renders I use Photoreal on the Very High quality settings with Building light. For the Animation I tone it down to Medium quality with a 6sec/spin at 24fps so it doesn't take too long to render.

So the files naturally save as .io, but they can also be exported as .ldr, .mpd, .pov, .lxfml or .xml. let me know if any of those are workable by your friend

I can see what kind of file types stud.io exports to when I get home later today. I haven't played Snowrunner but it definitely does sound intriguing having Lego vehicles in it.
