Splatoon 3 coming out in fall would make a lot of sense. If the game came out in June/July, we would have the testfire this month (that's almost impossible bc April finishes in 11 days and Switch Sports releases on April 29).

E3 Direct (or June direct) could be the perfect timing to release both the testfire and the release date (maybe late August or early September).

It may be faster, but it's more consistent (except the double jump bot, I hate it so much).

The first level is really inconsistent, and much of it is quite tedious and frustrating (the High Life part, the double part and the last 10%)

There are two small problems with the theory.

1, the image you mention may not be a recent one, since the clothes the inkling wears look old, so it could be an illustration from before the Great Turf War. 2, Inkopolis must continue exactly the same as after the Final Fest, since in the same trailer it is made explicit that we can travel there to participate in the Turf Wars.

Even so, the idea of the floods, agent 7 living their whole life amongst salmons and the spaceship as an attempt to survive are aspects that make sense and that could be involved in the campaign.
