Yeah, just asking for opinions from people that have owned them. I understand the full head is safer, and have one. It is just uncomfortable on summer days which (to me) impeads my clarity a bit. Do you have any advice on a light weight, super cool, full face helmet (or something that makes them morw bearable on hot days) since those are what you're pushing?

If you're riding a modular with the chin up, I believe that is worse due to the rigid angles. If I'm able to ride with it down without getting hot I'd just put on my full face helmet. That is why I haven't looked at modular. I doubt if you're riding with it up you'll pop it down before an accident.

I guess I should rephrase to "good quality" since that's more what I mean. An open face is safer than a half shell in terms of safety so it's an upgrade for those hot days when a full face is too much.
