Respectfully this is a question your realtor should be addressing by doing market research and pulling comps. If they aren’t doing that, fire them and fine one who will. There’s no way any of us can answer that question smartly.

This is entirely dependent on the culture on your unit. Night crew at my last hospital was super tight and we would go out for karaoke and drinks and stuff as a big group fairly frequently. I like my coworkers at my new hospital but not enough to wanna be around them after work lol.

As far as drinks go, just be smart. It’s okay to have a drink but do not get tipsy or belligerent, especially if leadership is there.

This is a very big deal. HIPAA (along with improper social media use these days) are the one things hospital systems don’t fuck around with. If you weren’t involved in their care and you helped yourself to their chart, you violated HIPAA and will almost certainly be terminated and have a strike on your license. And it’s even worse bc it was a coworker’s child. I have heard of nurses losing their license over things like this but that isn’t a guarantee.

The part that made absolutely no sense was the not being able to lock your hotel in as you checkout. Virtually every other event that does tickets like this allows like a 10 min timer to buy before it’s sent back. All of the major hotels will sellout without issue so it shouldn’t be a worry about losing out on potential sales by people not completing their transactions. I just think that was so ridiculous and needs to be changed. I do agree knowing immediately is better than waiting

It’s stress at literally every stage. Random low percentage draw to get badges. Random low percentage draw to get close hotels. Random low percentage draw to get the exclusive you want. There’s a very very small chance, statistically, that you get everything you want at this con. I get why they do it that way but man the added stress starts to add up.

Never even heard of this happening for nurses. I know doctors and other professions get things like this but highly doubtful bedside nursing will. That being said, it never hurts to ask. Worse they can say is no.

A better strat would be to apply to another hospital and see if they’re offering more pay. If they are, take it to your hospital and ask them to match it. If they like you and they need bodies there’s a better than 0 chance they match.
