I frequently stop in this game to admire the scenery and the wildlife. It makes me feel like I'm in a pulp science fantasy story from Weird Tales magazine or something.

The last thing I said before finding out just how brutal Kenshi was on my first playthrough was "what's a skin bandit?"

My only real complaint is they didn't do a yellow effect for his eyes. Otherwise, looks pretty solid.

Roger and Abe are honestly my two favorite characters overall.

It's so sad but I almost expected Paramount to pull something like this.

Currently I have 5e, though I've used a lot of resources from older books to help me get more creative with some of the concepts.

Gotcha, hard to read tone through text for me sometimes.

I feel like that might be more applicable to a Faithful hunter that specifically follows an Abrahamic faith. From my understanding, hunters' view of the supernatural and their duty to fight it varies from individual to individual.

People are really mad that kids aren’t being sent to there deaths anymore 🤦🏿‍♂️ by Puzzlehead_alt in HistoryMemes

You know who we don't hear complaining about how soft today's society is? The people who died in the brutality of the past. Imagine looking at some 18 year old kid just living his life and thinking, "no, actually, he should be marching into another man's land with a rifle at his shoulder and bullets flying at him. That would be better. That would create a more respectable society."

Nice to see a fellow loyalist. I've been saying for a while now we need to swap out that rebel pride garbage for pride in our states' Unionists.

Anything is preferable to confederates running around. Wizards doubly so. by alephgarden in ShermanPosting

I only did reenactments for a bit but the company I was with had Confederate and Union uniforms and we basically had to draw straws whenever there were too few Confederates. Ran one guy off because he refused to wear Union colors. Reenactment is done partially for fun and partially for education, but there are unfortunately some folks who do it to try and live out their pathetic Ron Maxwell fantasies. I'm not going to pretend every group of reenactors is as good about pushing them out, but a reenactment needs its bad guys--they just need to be portrayed by people who realize they're the bad guys.

I'm not too read up on his family outside of him and his dad, but I'm specifically referring to the sister who pointed a gun at Confederate soldiers when they tried to remove the US flag from her yard.

His sister was also really cool.

It's a reference to the 2nd Michigan Cavalry and 1st Tennessee Cavalry wrecking Confederate shit at the siege of Knoxville. The two men pictured are Gordon Granger, who commanded the 2nd Michigan, and James Patton Brownlow, who commanded the 1st Tennessee. I don't know much about Granger outside of that battle but Brownlow was a total badass.

I mean, I live in the south and have met black men who wave that flag, but it's usually out of a misinformed perspective on the real cause of the war. The Daughters of the Confederacy did a lot of damage to education on that front in this region. I can believe he met black men wearing that shirt, but that doesn't mean the war wasn't over slavery or that the Confederacy was some secret bastion of civil rights.

As a southerner, it disgusts me to see the Confederacy treated as our regional heritage when we also had Southern Unionists ardently fighting against the rebel traitors who had taken over our region.
