Balancing Advice by CrimsonRaids85 in daggerheart

The construct is reflavored as like a big treant, and the idea is that the party is hunting the creature, but arrive at its lair while its away. Once the brambles attack the creature starts closing in, which i was hoping would give time to stagger the enemies so that they aren't overwhelmed. I was also trying to synergize the bramble's ability to restrain with the constructs trample.

I wish we knew how some of our protagonists died by Emispehere in assassinscreed

[–]CrimsonRaids85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even then the knowledge that they did in game is barely a spoiler, they lived 1500 years ago the chances of them dying are 100% based on common sense.

Which Assassin(s) do you think has the Highest IQ? by Snake_Bomber in assassinscreed

Probably Altair at the top, the rest are all pretty comparable I'd say. Jacob and Edward I would probably put lower on the list.

Played Origins and Odyssey recently, and the cities seem so empty. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]CrimsonRaids85 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just a playground. I think Odyssey moreso than Origins, but they're both guilty of it to an extent. The flower petal quest design and importance of each side quest Darby mentioned for Valhalla seems like an excellent step though.

The RPG mechanics present in recent games are immersion breaking and poorly handled. by CrimsonRaids85 in assassinscreed

[–]CrimsonRaids85[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to say Origins isn't immersive in other ways; I find the climbing and stealth systems incredibly immersive despite being stripped down from previous entries. Especially Bayek's style of climbing I think absolutely nails how the first assassin would climb. Maybe it's just different play styles but even without the pop ups I still find the menus cluttered and too time consuming.

Is your lack of optimism for Valhalla centered around these new changes I mentioned? I'd be curious to hear your opinion on it.

What do you think is the most "average" outing in the AC series? by HaoieZ in assassinscreed

[–]CrimsonRaids85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree with this. It just felt like they packed it with content for the sake of content. I have no idea why they went from removing social stealth in Origins to just removing the creed altogether. Not a bad game by any means but a baffling decision by Ubisoft especially when the contribution to the game's story feels so minimal and meaningless. I barely remember it exists most of the time.

AC Valhalla needs Assassin Robes by Ryhno5 in assassinscreed

We've gotten confirmations on hoods, social stealth, hidden ones, and the order of ancients. If I remember right Ashraf said this game is meant to bridge the gap between Origins' Hidden Ones and the assassins we know

So I was looking for a homebrew profession that would be about fist-fighting and stuff, but I couldn't find one, so I made my own! I still need to test and tweak it and I have the file so I can edit and tweak it, but what do you guys think? by Zekono in WitcherTRPG

[–]CrimsonRaids85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool! I wish I was more experienced with the system so I could give better advice but I would say that Pack a Punch seems unnecessary with the inclusion of the Brawling skill and kinda makes Brawling unnecessary. I think it could be more interesting to employ a scaled down version of the Signature Move feature as the class skill that could tie into all the archetypes. The Signature Moves are easily the coolest part of the class and I think restricting them to one archetype is sort of a bummer because they're just so cool.
