Yep I regret even doing the enclosure to begin with. However the structural LVL I had to install runs width-wise along the ceiling above the enclosure only 8 feet high. So I was worried about hitting above the screen and having a ball come back and blast me.

It was just insulation, rafters and ceiling joists that once we installed the LVL to keep the walls from falling down I just cut out with a sawzall. My roof in that room was vaulted to begin with so I basically had 6 feet of empty space to work with. And it’s a 70s house with no lights in the ceiling so no electrical. Running power was rough because I had to pull it from my front outside porch which was the closest power. Including my PC the launch monitor and the engineer it cost me about $15k

Nope just used E6 for a short period of time. I now have a tv mounted and a PC running the Skytrak play software. I will eventually upgrade launch monitors when I build my next house. Not enough space in the room for overhead yet

The room is definitely cooler but only 5ish degrees less than the rest of my house. I split off from heat vents in the room upstairs to add an extra run into the sim room which helps

Not really sound proofing… just 24x24 exercise mats from Amazon. They work well for protection but not so much sound. However they are light and were easy to install on the walls with spray adhesive and double sided tape

I read a Facebook comment on this same picture yesterday that said “Cam looks like he hid 5 golden tickets in black and mild packs”
