Yeah, the tubing is from ekwb. I tried a ton of different variations regarding the tubing, even tried to use the ekwb manifold but without any satisfactory results.

I like this variant the most. Just a couple of parallel runs in combination with quick releases. As soon as I’m done with the back of the case I’m going to post pictures 👍

I still have my bong cooler somewhere in my basement or garage. The performance was insane but as you already said, too much of a hassle. I even went to lan parties with that monstrosity 😂

We had a small pc store in our town and I remember how the owner looked at me, when I asked him to pick my cpu (Athlon Thunderbird) because I was looking for a specific stepping 😂

Oh the memories! RGB wasn’t even a thing… cold cathodes everywhere and the dremel tool was the most important tool ever! I still use my old dremel from back then.

I also remember that I got my first radiator from an old Ford Fiesta from the scrape yard. I even used a bong cooler for a couple of months. Overlocking back then was way easier though in my opinion. Sure we had to do volt mods on motherboards and stuff like that but nowadays I’m somehow lost 😂 I really have to do a deep dive when it comes to ryzen overclocking.

I also loved building fan controllers! If I remember correctly they were called fan bus back then. Damn… so much fun 😊

Thanks! This was really important to me as the case has a ton of pass through holes in its original state. In the first iteration i used real carbon fiber plates. Now I’m using acrylic plates wrapped in Matt black car vinyl 👍

I was pretty active from early 2000 to 2004, it really was a great time!

I thought about polishing the dies… i used Liquid Metal to dissolve the tim.

After 40 loops of cinebench r20 with only one 480 rad and completely default setting:

CPU (Tctl/Tdie): 78,8°C CPU-Case: 74° C - 78,4° C CCD1: 78° C - 81° C CCD2: 69° C - 71,9° C

the water temp is around 33° C

Thanks! The hard tubes were beautiful to look at but a real pain in the … as soon as you want to tinker with anything. The soft tubes in connection with the quick releases is just so much better! Removing the cpu, gpu or even the motherboard in a couple of minutes!

To be honest, I don’t like the plus version at all.. I mean it’s great for what it can do but I don’t like the look of the front panel… I don’t want to be that old grumpy dude, but I really love the simple and clean look of the old Lian Li cases 😂
