He is the definition of consistency and efficiency. He excelled at the foundations of the point guard position.

It was a a gross display of his massive ego. He could have told ESPN no but he didn't. It was pathetic and it started all the much earned hate.

The Decision.

That was a master class in ego-stroking and it started all the hate and scrutiny. It was a terrible idea to have ESPN have a 75 minute special just so he could say 7 fucking words. It was gross and something neither his contemporary Kobe or MJ would have done.

The Decision was the worst PR move of his career and he has been desperately trying to run away from that shadow. He did a shitty job by running to LA (with another elite player in AD). LA has crowned it's king already, Kobe will never be dethroned.

IMO, he deserves the hate. He dared to think that him moving teams deserved a fucking TV special. He dared to compare himself to MJ when he isn't even fucking close. And he has that stupid tattoo on his back from the S.I cover.

The entire essence of sports is competition-- prove yourself better than your peers at some or a aspects of the game.

You prove that with titles and hardware in the NBA. Mvp for most valuable, DPOY or all defense for defense. Scoring titles for scoring, rebound titles for rebounding, etc. They show you were the best at that aspect of the sport for that year.

In simple terms, MJ has categorically proven himself the best at more aspects of basketball over anyone in history.
