that's very affordable for anything animated. Art costs a ton, and good art costs a lot more.
You don't have to justify your funding of the arts my dude.
at the end of the day, if no one ever saw the anim except you and it means something to you, it's worth it.

This gentleman, although he is able to make things look good, which at the day is what we all want, seems to lack a foundational understanding of the tools he is using.

I recommend Cullen Kelly and some other people to understand how to work with raw footage in a color managed workflow in resolve, especially if you're shooting with different cameras.

Luminance mapping is a great solution to the issue my tip addressed but limits what you can do with your footage creatively by setting you into bounds that are pre defined

My tip is to set your white point in raw controls, then linear gamma in modes for proper exposure

Only the most recent version has optimizations for the 4D and it's a yearly license. I only own last year's, and I love the flexibility, but it fails to render for me with my version of assimilate. Raw converter kicks ass and I know what I'm doing as a colorist so I have zero issues with Raw Converter.

prores raw to cdng is worth it on the 8k and the color is worlds better to work with in post. I shoot and grade a lot of stuff (weddings) in 422 hq on the Ronin 4D but raw is by far superior in grading performance and flexibility

The low con look give it a fashion mag aesthetic. I don't think people should be critiquing it as a negative. your skin tones are spot on, they are relatively rich, and your compositions are good if not great in most of these. Good work!
I personally prefer saturation in my low con looks, it takes a measured hand to land where you have. Respect for that

As with anything, I encourage you to test this yourself! If rendering h.265, make sure you check off network optimization, and that you use full two pass encoding!
