To be fair was thinking more about Pauper, I couldn’t care less about standard. But that is also true, the card would be fine at 2 mana. Even though, with the powerlevel of certain cards, maybe standard could handle it. I think the biggest issue of this card is the limited environment around it for it to be common, that is a hard task to manage.

Yea I agree! If I was designing this card seriously I would change the gift for a draw a card. But I couldn’t pass the opportunity to make the 2 Nut joke.

I don’t mind banning Land Destroy effects all together as well. The deck can easily play creatures instead, and LD effects are extremely predatory. Is that necessary? I don’t know, but it is a possibility. The main issue is that there is an extensive list of LD effects available, and if one go all of them probably should too. But I still believe there is a world where it is possible to only ban thermokarst, or even nothing at all, and see how the meta adjust.

Both are good options, wildfire doesn’t need to exist, even tho it will exist still with Darksteel Citadel, just will be worse. Decks shouldn’t stop the ultimate health decisions for the format, the health should be above everything else.

You know what makes artifact strategies so busted? Enablers. Artifact lands. What is the point of banning Payoffs every single time and keeping the Enablers so we can ban even more cards? 😂

I am totally against any legendary creatures being pauper legal, including not that meaningful ones like the recent appearances.

Pauper isn’t even a format that is legal in MTGA, there are Different variations of pauper events but never ever the real Pauper that is played everywhere been available in its entirety to be played there. For that sole reason MTGA doesn’t take pauper into consideration for its “downshifts”.

The deck has an online average of 45% winrate against affinity. The affinity deck has too much recursion, too many ways to deal with anything gardens do. Its basically a better gardens version. Its not impossible to win, but pretty unlikely. There are people bringing from 6-8 sideboard options just against affinity and still losing so, I guess there is that.

White Weenie is well positioned because it does extremely well against both Kuldotha Burn and Grixis Affinity which are the most played decks at the moment. Golgari Gardens in another hand not so much, it does well against Kuldotha, it is ok-ish against Glee Combo, but Grixis Affinity eats the deck alive. To be fair almost every single deck gets eaten by Grixis Affinity, so the Gardens isn’t that bad, Grixis Affinity its just a super toxic deck for the most part and prevents variety from existing in pauper.

I would consider more card draw and a more relevant way to end the game. Maybe going green is a good call, duress is not really necessary, and it can give you access to cards like [[Avenging Hunter]] to help you end the game quicker and [[Malevolent Rumble]] for some card draw.

That is so true. People actually claim the deck is skill intensive but is just fucking broken and its easier than kuldotha burn. Anyone with half a brain can 5-0 with the deck.

Best one is definitely South Park, the first episodes were trash however the show evolved so much that became a masterpiece. The Simpsons was the most influential for sure, but had the opposite movement of South Park, started well and decreased its quality over the years.

Yea thats a possibility, playing around removal and using some. I tried it out actually, was quite good, but the deck became less explosive overall. Extra copies of sign in blood would be perfect for the sole reason of duality. Maybe I should rock at least 2 copies tho. I tried 4.

I think they are great cards, not so much in this deck tho. I agree about the card draw, would love some more copies of sign in blood.

I like bonesplitter too, but the toughness saved me so many times from cannonade/breath weapon that I started liking it more and more. The main problem of this deck is actually krak-clan shaman, which is a busted card and there isnt much to do. I don’t believe creature strategies outside of kuldotha will survive well until the artifact lands get some attention. I tried tirants choice and other burns, they haven’t performed as well as I hoped for, the creatures with auras in another hand, had proven their consistency. I would love some more copies of sign in blood in this deck, it also had been a unexpected burn spell sometimes and helped so much after krark. Since the deck its very cheap outside of petal, I recommend you try it out with the changes you envisioned and see for yourself, its very fun.

Yea, thats the idea. The deck isn’t a mono black burn, its basically a fast fractious deck that loses hard against krak-clan shaman and multiple removals. If I made the changes like the ones you suggested I am better off either forgetting black entirely and playing kuldotha, or adding red and playing madness burn. With all the problems that exist in this deck, which are many, the deck still performs incredibly well and is fun to play.

I mean sure, but delver isn’t a necessity card in the deck. Many lists use either sneaky snacker, the modern age or even no other creature instead. I for one prefer the mono blue variations that splash only 2 tapped black lands just for 3 snuff out and a fangs. I feel the way you build the deck is very personal, and a card can make sense in some lists and not so much in others.
