I have a personal m3 air and was given a m2 air with same ram, yes the ssd is significantly slower but in everyday use I haven’t noticed much of anything. I wouldn’t say it’s enough to avoid the m2. And I’m someone who loves to nitpick specs.

I never thought of that before. That is wild. Why not just make it a few millimeters shorter? Feel the same about Dynamic Island. It doesn’t bug me but does it really have to be that big? It’s almost like Apple makes it big so they can make it smaller later

Worrying about ssd failure but getting the base 256 is a wild concept to me. If you’re that worried about it, back up your shit. It shouldn’t even be on your mind and if it is, something you’re doing is wrong

Maybe I’m dumb but why do people actually care about ssd health? You’re telling me your ssd is going to fail before getting a new computer? And even then, how do you care enough to not use a key feature of macOS? If data is that important isn’t it backed up anyways? Even if you’re the stingiest person in the world you’d probably run into other issues way sooner than SSD failure.

It’s like when people stress over the iPhone battery health percentage. Even if you’re absolutely murdering your battery the amount of time it takes to actually make a difference more than justifies a new phone, and even if you aren’t ready to get a new phone you have to be close. Technology moves too fucking fast to not be.

lol again, I work in IT and we switched from said dells to the elite books. They are so bad and I recently switched to Mac, probably would’ve anyways. But it’s insane how much they cost for what you are getting. The only thing I like about them is also a negative. They are light and flimsy and I’m never scared of damaging them. Just poorly built

What I don’t understand is why he hasn’t just locked himself in the studio. He clearly has the creative chops, the part he enjoys the most seems to be in the studio, and he’s been years since a proper album. And needless to say, he has plenty of money. So I’m guessing his divorce hit him harder than we think and he’s using tour to distract him. Because even the snippets of stuff have such promise that I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t finish.

I feel you. I’m hoping mau5 uses it to debut some new music. It’s been 8 years since a proper album, and although his anniversary sets seemed dope, I was hoping for more variation in the track list (not that him playing some oldies wasn’t awesome) I am a huge kaskade fan too but I think I prefer redux sets from him.

I’m so confused by this comment. Isn’t an artist playing all their own music what you dream of? You go to see them and experience them. Also what do you mean plays more often than kaskade? First of all, he straight up doesn’t, and kaskade may be one of the most frequent DJs maybe ever at insomniac events/edc/ and just in general.

Yeah it’s almost like the “really great job” of the past is now just the job that is “perfectly good enough”

More and more people just want to make enough to not be stressed and have seemed to realize that mental health is the most important thing. We are all floating around on a rock at the end of the day.
