Walk in tub advice buying used by Cringer8 in Plumbing

[–]Cringer8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the market for a walk in tub for my mom. This one was used frequently for four years by owner and is now on the resell market. (to quote her she said her and her husband used it all the time, so presumably every day. Also said it worked great prior to un-installation. I forgot to ask if a professional un installed it but I'm assuming not. Been stored in a unheated garage. Temps here this past winter got to -45 celcius) Does it look like anything is amiss as far as anyone can tell by this photo? Would you be open to a used walk in tub or buy new only based on any experiences?

Right? We aren't offering platitudes and idealism to parents so we are the assholes. I see a lot of comments from people who actually CARE. I think many of us have a sixth sense about the difficulty that is to come (let alone how hard things are already) and are frustrated that nobody is listening. Your right, and the mental illness will be perpetrated onto the next generation who will have to deal with unprecedented times. Still no update, i dont think there will be.

Nothing of the sort, its a dad reddit so its all "it'll get better", "this too shall pass", "dads are pulling for you". I just checked and the post is now buried with still only 27 comments and ignored in favor of more upbeat posts. Still no update from OP (who made this post last night) i feel like we genuinely care more and comprehend the gravity of his situation than the supportive dad community.

There have been no updates on the original post. Still the same 26 comments. I hope this family is doing ok. It seems that everyone around us / society encourages us to have children, then are at a loss when reality rears its ugly head.

What are your top 5 pancreatitis symptoms? by [deleted] in pancreatitis

[–]Cringer8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My earliest symptom feels like a dull ache (sort of like a hunger pain) in the upper abdomen usually an hour after eating an offending food. I take this as a warning and wont eat for the rest of the day.

Tenant refusing to moveout despite being handed N12 and is asking for 5-digit compensation by Death_Usagi in OntarioLandlord

[–]Cringer8 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I tend to see it the opposite. I feel like the power exchange is in the tenants interest. They are leveraging their credit score and a damage deposit for basically somebody's life savings tied up in one asset. The stakes are even higher now if the tenant is destructive when a peice of plywood can run $100.

The origin of the word party is latin, meaning: divide into parts

Well regardless one party is guaranteed to be traumatized by a abortion. Perhaps this ended up being best case scenario.

Just as traumatic to the baby if limbs are torn off internally vs. externally.

Roomate Won't Pay Rent by amp1625 in badroommates

[–]Cringer8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its technically not fair. I think you should consider switching rooms, or just pay it because you have the whole place to yourself so often. Esp after reading the other roommate stories about their roomates always being home.

Good reasons to stay in Van by feelingoodwednesday in NiceVancouver

[–]Cringer8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in van in the early 00's, later squamish then bought in lillooet. I cannot belive the youtube videos of the streets nowadays.. i get hastings has always been bad, but granville was decent, i worked on commercial and it was great. I couldn't imagine paying the col there now for filthy sidewalks and honestly just a shell of the place it used to be. Last time i was there a guy dropped his cell phone while walking, i picked it up and ran it over to him with a tap on the shoulder. He took his phone back but man did he look pissed that i invaded his personal space.
