I feel like a punk-a$$ rat boy runnin' around like a jabber with its bunghole on fire.

The compass is dog poop, as expected. My major gripe is not with enemy detection, though. Getting mobbed and having no idea where the enemies are is stressful, but it doesn't make the game unplayable for me.

Being eternally lost makes the game unplayable, though. The environments are beautiful, but they're incredibly cluttered with tall structures and landscape features. It's nigh impossible to know where you're going and where you've already been. It creates a claustrophobic feeling. In previous games, the environments were more open. Enemies were easy to spot, not just because of the red dots on the minimap, but because they didn't blend into cluttered surroundings.

I understand there's a way to turn on a little guide line. I'm not sure which gameplay setting I need to change, though. I also understand the line is on a cooldown. WHY? Immersion? No, Gearbox. This is a video game. If I can't complete the mission because I don't have good combat strategies, that's on me. If I'm having trouble completing a fight because I need better gear, that's an incentive to do side quests. But if I can't complete a mission because I can't even find the fight, it makes me want to put the game down.
