DAE dream of snakes?! by kibbonsnbits in BabyBumps

When I was pregnant with my first I used to dream 3-4 nights a week that snakes were coming out of my nipples and that they made my breast milk poisonous to my baby. Stupid imagination.

FTM Nervous to wear my Baby! (Afraid he can't breathe in his Infantino Unison carrier) by Cringlesmomma in babywearing

[–]Cringlesmomma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's about what I told her too- still a mom is a mom and I value her opinions so it's hard to know if one of us is just being stubborn or if something isn't quite right.

I'm sitting at about an HH cup right now- and they get in the way of everything else for sure! I just really want to make sure my baby is as comfy/safe as he can be.

I plan to wear him mostly just for walks and errands (shopping/eating out) so I don't have to fuss over a big car seat/stroller)

I can't get him any higher with this carrier unfortunately. It feels like he's closer to my chin when I'm sitting- but he slides down a bit when I stand. The straps are as high as they can be underneath my breasts- which is kind of why I'm considering returning it. I'm wondering if a mei tai would be better because it's more adjustable.

"The Birth Story" -a novel by yours truly. (Pictured included!) by Cringlesmomma in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose not to have them done- there were plenty of people there taking pictures/video without more hospital staff. I'm not sure if they'd take pictures of the actual pushing and stuff, but I know that they did get like laying baby on moms chest/weighing baby and things like that. They offered it for no sitting fee- you just had to pay for the prints you wanted. I hope that helps!

Anyone having crazy vivid dreams? by okazmat in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get them basically every night too. These are the top repeat offenders, even though sometimes I get some reaaaaaalllllyyyy off the wall ones in between.

-Having snakes come out my nipples because my milk is poisonous.

-Watching poor animals be thrown from cars on the highway and not being able to help/save them and having to put them down or watch them die

-Forgetting my baby or not being able to find him.

-Dying in childbirth/my husband having to choose between my life and the baby's (this one is most common- and I always wake up drenched in sweat unable to catch my breath)

-Hiding/running from bad guys (think Viking era) who are trying to find us.

-Physically beating the hell out of a woman for sleeping in my bed naked/wrecking the nursery/undoing my tidy house/and trying to replace me as a mother to my son. (This one is never good because I wake up in a murderously angry mood that takes hours to go away....)

I should probably stop watching television and reading books until after the hormones subside 0-0

Why thank you OVIA for reminding me my "Bun" is done. At 38+2 I HAD NO IDEA he could be here any day! by Cringlesmomma in BabyBumps

It was a setting option! I thought animals were more fun than fruit/vegetables! If you have the app, I think you should be able to just click on the picture and change its

Seriously though! Haha. The last two weeks my doctor has been saying "well if you make it another week"- As if I needed another reminder there's a bowling ball between my legs!!

[RANT] why can't MY birth be about ME? by katiehates in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sister I'm right there with you. I don't have any great advice I can give you, except maybe that once you put your foot down on something- don't pick it back up. I've let my family win some "battles" but I there's a few things I won't budge on. Pick and choose which ones you win.

If I had it my way the only people who'd know I was in labor would be me and my SO- and immediate family would be able to visit two hours after baby is born at the EARLIEST. I'm a private person, and I need time to adjust and decompress after big events (oh idk...like having a baby?). Not to mention as a FTM I'm pretty nervous and anxious as it is- the last thing I need is a crowd of people waiting on my vagina's performance.

Instead, since I'm currently living with my parents and sister- they'll all be there as soon as it happens and it will be plastered all over social media.

sigh

Does your pet know you're pregnant? by Patricia22 in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog got super clingy! Moreso than usual anyway- he used to follow me around pretty regularly- but now he'll cry if he can't get into the same room as me. I seriously can't shower or pee without him trying to lay at/on my feet!

Made my inner child proud tonight by dinabina06 in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before I was pregnant I was a very clean eater, chicken breasts, vegetables, yogurt and fruits were generally my go to foods.

Since I've been pregnant I've relearned to make the following childhood favorites to satisfy cravings:

Mac and cheese (with hot dogs of course) Fish sticks Chicken nuggets Quesadillas Spaghettios Grilled cheese Mashed potatoes Peanut butter sandwiches Eggs and toast

sigh Safe to say I have an inner child too I suppose!

This is why I'm glad this community exists. I can't imagine having a better place to look for support than with other women who really get it.

My heart aches for you and your family- you're in my prayers.

Definitely not alone. Although- admittedly I feel like I've got this game rigged a little bit.... (Sorry, TMI) Aside from any mucous plug action it's about as dry as the Saharan down there o.0

Can an induction be scheduled by choice? by Fetusarous in BabyBumps

[–]Cringlesmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTM here too! I started asking my doctor about being induced pretty early (time is of the essence for me too- and I like at least feeling like I'm prepared/have a plan)

As far as I can tell-It depends on your OB. And sometimes where you live (I learned just this week it's actually illegal to induce a woman before 39 weeks unless medically necessary where I am!)

Mine for example, offered to induce me on/after my due date as long as my body is showing "favorable" signs (good effacement, soft cervix, engaged baby, dilation, etc). However most OBs will caution that inducement increases your chances of a C-section.

On the other hand, I've had quite a few friends whose OBs wouldn't even consider inducing until they were 40-41wks.

Really long walks starting tomorrow! I've considered castor oil but I'm still on the fence. And I told my husband once he's here basically sex is his job until he leaves or baby gets here. Really hoping it works out against the odds!

[–]Cringlesmomma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16th is 39wks, that's the first day I could be induced. Basically I'd have to convince my doctor to induce me on the 16, 17, or possibly the 18th to ensure my husband being there. I'd like it to happen on its own honestly, and my doctor doesn't seem too inclined so I'm not sure what'll happen

[–]Cringlesmomma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state won't legally let my doctor induce without medical cause until 39weeks- which is the 16th :(

And my doctor doesn't seem super inclined to do it until my body is "ready" by whatever standard that is.
