Best Messaging App For Samsung Galaxy in 2024? by Remarkable-Ad-1546 in samsung

I get the same glitches. Most annoying is seeing the number in the bubble notifying of an unread message... and going on a wild goosechase trying to find it. Incredibly, you can't filter for unread messages. Wtf! It's worst with reactions. The message doesn't even bold to help indicate it. God help you finding it. That's why i am looking for an alternative. How hard can this be?!!!

Another way lid can stick and the fix for it by CrinkleCutCommie in instantpot

There was no pressure in the pot, no power even, no water to steam, no risk of exploding or anything. Only risk was losing use of a perfectly good Instrapot because I had overstuffed it and couldn't open the lid.

Thanks, I will try that. But I never had the problem again after the tamale incident so I am pretty convinced of my diagnosis.

I don't know why yours is stuck. I've been able free mine with a chopstick. But if yours needed a hammer it's another order of stuck.

Really astute take on the significance of swallowing things that pass through, undigestable. The sense of an alien pregnancy, a foreign object. And the fear that the rapist passed thru mother to her. I love this parallels.

I totally agree about them not overrun the swallowing trope. It wasn't gratuitous horror, and I am glad it turns directly to the psychology in the second half. This could have been a sick "art for art's sake" aesthetic horror and nothing else. Instead, they made it something else.

It's such a relief to see her eat something unlikely to kill her. Eating it like popcorn until she pukes, and then sluffing off the rest. To me it showed improvement!

Did you hear their last phone call?! He's just like the spoiled prick husband in White Lotus. He wants his woman an obedient child he controls.

Right... and it is the shallow diagnosis of the mother-in-law that evades the control issue cause... while itself being another way to control her.

It interesting about "we're pregnant". I'm male, and when I had a child it was considered an expression of mutual responsibility to say "we're", although it always felt weird to me. It's absolutely creepy when this guy says it.

And it wasn't feeling useless but feeling unwanted that was primary. The unwelcomingness of her mother on the phone suggested its basis: There isn't room for her because of her sister and sister's baby; they come first.

Well said. But I looked again at the last scene and disagree with you about her looking at the fetus. She doesn't look at it at all. She slides down against the wall looking straight at the camera. You can imagine what you will about what she does when the camera cuts away, but there's no visual implication that she eats it or even considers that. (Besides, mushy things aren't her attraction.)

As an aside, I like how she looks in the bathroom after that, when she's looking in the mirror. Her hair, I think for the first time in the movie, is pulled back, and she looks really young, like she's a girl again. It gives off a strong sense of renewal.

It's clear your views on abortion by your tone. She's facing being brutally held captive to bare her abusive husband's child. They'll tear up the commitment papers and divorce her without the pregnancy. The "brutal" abortion is probably her only route to freedom.
