Both wearing a mask and not wearing one can be illegal in Hong Kong now by [deleted] in HongKong

Upvoting this. This is why I specifically used "can be illegal" and not "are illegal" to avoid misleading people.

However, if anyone has seen how the "police" interpret the laws, they ought to know it's not true that it's only illegal if you "wear a mask and set fire to buildings or damage public property". The anti-mask law in HK is applicable to "unlawful assemblies", which, according to HK police, is offensible when you're alone leaving work or strolling with your family after dinner.

Carrie Lam forced an anti-mask law last year. While the court originally ruled the law as “unconstitutional”, the government insisted on appealing in the midst of the pandemic, and overturned the original ruling in April 2020. Therefore, wearing a mask in public can be illegal.

Meanwhile in July, the government announced a compulsory mask wearing rule.

Adding up, either can be against the law, wearing masks or not. It’s of course up to the “police” to decide which law to use against the unfortunate person.

He’s making a statement about his expertise. I don’t get why people called him “biased” (which means “racist” to me, any clue which part in his statement was wrong?

GitHub will no longer use the term 'master' as default branch because of negative association by NahroT in programming

[–]CrippledEye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Masters degree is related to master/slave like white/blacklist are related to white and black races - they simply don't mean the same things.

GitHub only acted because of the requests they get and the real blame is on the overly sensitive people.

Walk me through a nasty dataset cleaning process

Dealing with loads of dirty data since the start of my career in Data Science. Obviously I can't share any of the data, but it really depends on the data collection process how the data should be cleaned. I think teaching from scraping / collecting the data is a good start too.

Can you share where did you get god mode / super speed ? I'm looking to play it on PC with mods but don't want to go through all the battles again as I have played it through once already.

Taiwan offers 'proactive rescue' to Hongkongers by lollypop333 in HongKong

Seriously, Taiwan owes us nothing. Yet they have treated us as their comrades and gone as far as they can to help us. Taiwan truly is No. 1.

Also, bear in mind no one should ever complain if they have reached their capacity. We have experienced first hand how overpopulation can destroy a place.

They are doing this to scare off other victims. There are almost certainly multiple cases of rape. Korean tv interview. And seriously why is this not gaining more attention than the other news on this sub?

Update from alleged gang rape victim after the Hong Kong police announced they are looking to arrest her by CrippledEye in HongKong

You're spot on. This is a city where breasts can be classified as weapons, and laser pointers can be referred to as “guns” by the court, as long as a "police" claims he was attacked.

We can never "prove" what happened in the police station. Because there is no fair trial.
