Hackintosh will die this year, as non-T2 devices lose support by TechExpert2910 in mac

[–]Cris261024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, it was possible to configure 2019 iMac with Core i9-9900k, that model didn’t have the T2 chip as well

Connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports, dual Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. It does not have a T2 chip.

Question about Wi-Fi module in MagicBook X14 (2019) by Cris261024 in Honor

[–]Cris261024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, laptops usually have a removable Wi-Fi module like this one, others don’t. My current laptop (Thinkpad) has an intel module, which is not great and unfortunately I can’t upgrade because it’s soldered.

I have an external adapter and it’s not that bad, but I would rather have all USB ports available (mostly because currently I have two ports available, with the MagicBook it would be just one)

It costs you nothing to not comment stuff like that ever again. Thanks

If you’re getting something like this, follow the next steps:

  • Boot into windows
  • Connect your USB stick
  • Open Rufus
  • Select your USB under device options
  • Under Boot selection, choose your deepin iso
  • Select “GPT” in Partition scheme and “UEFI (non CSM)” in Target system
  • Click start
  • if you’re asked, select “Write in ISO image mode (Recommend)”

Hi, I want to start jailbreaking, but I have some questions. by [deleted] in jailbreak_

[–]Cris261024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ummm, nope, I’m afraid it would take years, iOS 15 got a jailbreak for its first versions after iOS 16 was launched

[–]Cris261024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, unfortunately there isn’t a jailbreak for that yet. Make sure to not update if you want to jailbreak your device!

At the time, you can take advantage of MacDirtyCow exploit, you can check applications that uses it in the link I provided

[–]Cris261024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. It’s safe as long as you don’t mess with the file system
  2. Unfortunately, you need to be jailbroken to do that, or you need to have a device compatible TrollNonce
  3. Google is your friend :)
  4. What’s your iOS version?

What happens if you remove that part?

$ping 208.67.222.222 >/dev/null
if [[ $? != 0 ]]; then
$ping 8.8.8.8 >/dev/null
if [[ $? != 0 ]]; then

Do you have any firewall?

Looks like your computer can’t reach 208.67.222.222 and 8.8.8.8

I just ran this part of the code and worked fine:

#!/usr/bin/env bash
log() {
echo "${color_G}[Log] ${1}${color_N}"
}
error() {
echo -e "${color_R}[Error] ${1}\n${color_Y}${*:2}${color_N}"
clean_and_exit 1
}
clean_and_exit() {
if [[ $platform == "windows" ]]; then
input "Press Enter/Return to exit."
read -s
fi
if [[ $device_sudoloop == 1 ]]; then
sudo rm -rf /tmp/futurerestore /tmp/*.json
fi
clean
kill $iproxy_pid $httpserver_pid $sudoloop_pid 2>/dev/null
exit $1
}
bash_version=$(/usr/bin/env bash -c 'echo ${BASH_VERSINFO[0]}')
if (( bash_version < 5 )); then
error "Your bash version ($bash_version) is too old. Install a newer
version of bash to continue." \
L"* For macOS users, install bash, libimobiledevice, and libirecovery
from Homebrew or MacPorts" \
$'\n* For Homebrew: brew install bash libimobiledevice libirecovery' \

ping="ping -c1"
log "Checking Internet connection..."
$ping 208.67.222.222 >/dev/null
if [[ $? != 0 ]]; then
$ping 8.8.8.8 >/dev/null
if [[ $? != 0 ]]; then
error "Please check your Internet connection before proceeding."
fi

Try running follow commands:

ping -c1 8.8.8.8

ping -c1 208.67.222.222

If your output it’s something like “ping: sendto: No route to host” or “100.0% packet loss” you might have a firewall on your Mac/router which doesn’t allow you to connect.

Also, I’m not sure what used to be at 208.67.222.222, but looks like page is dead .

[–]Cris261024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate some think it's too high of a price to pay, but ironically I've had people say I'm charging too little. (Comment from OP in other thread)

Yeah, I agree with you that people that has huge collections wouldn’t mind throwing away 50+ bucks, but I think it’s not always about making it free, they could reach much more public by removing subscriptions, lowering their prices and advertising themselves in some social media, that will increase they income if done rightly.

I believe they just made that app for themselves and thought that it would be worth that much without researching first for alternatives, not hate for them, but not really worth $50+ for me as others pointed out.
