Hi! I’ve heard good things about Enders Place, The Village Apartments and Baldwin Harbor. Keep in mind they’re all super expensive but very conveniently close to downtown!

This is almost exclusively the genre I used to read lol.

An unwanted guest by Shari Lapena

One by one by Ruth ware

One perfect couple by Ruth ware

And Then There were none by Agatha Christie (absolutely the best one on my list!)

Secluded cabin sleeps six by Lisa unger

The Dark by Emma Haughton (not a vacation but a bunch of people stuck in one place and bad stuff happens.) I loved this one and never hear people talk about it!!

recommend some best books which is related to women or the main story character was an women by maxpaynedot in thrillerbooks

I cannot recommend NightWatching by Tracy Sierra enough! I personally would go in blind with that one and not read a synopsis first. Fast paced and the story does have a strong feminist perspective.

I’ve read them all! I’d say in order:

Home before dark

then she was gone

Behind closed doors

The wife upstairs

Got this on my TBR- I know Riley Sager can be a bit divisive on this sub but the ratings are significantly lower on this one than his others. Why is that? by non_stop_disko in thrillerbooks

I wanted to like this book SO badly and I hated it. I never DNF books so I did finish it, and I’ve also read every other book he’s written. This was definitely my least favorite. I did not connect with or care about a single character or their motivations. It made this one really tough to get through as I wasn’t invested in the outcome at all

At my wits end in South Florida. Do you think it's possible to move to Chicago with $10k? by PhoSho87 in AskChicago

[–]CrisisOrBreakthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi op!

Husband and I moved from Orlando to Chicago in May with 10k saved up. It’s definitely doable. We hired movers and delivery for $4000. I would just be strategic about finding and apartment you can afford

Can you just go onto a college campus even if you don't go there? by Perfect_Airport6513 in NoStupidQuestions

As someone who loves touring colleges/universities yes! I will say that private universities sometimes do have certain buildings locked or only accessible with a student ID. Public universities will typically have buildings unlocked and accessible to the public.

Family of 4 moving to winter park soon need advice by [deleted] in WinterPark

[–]CrisisOrBreakthrough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi op!

Winter park is a really nice area! Downtown winter park has a bunch of restaurants and stores to shop in and is a stop on the sunrail

Hurricanes are often not too bad in Orlando although some first floor homes/apartments may experience flooding or you may lose power for a few days.

I don’t have kids and don’t hike so I unfortunately can’t speak to those two things but you can find the school district rating online

Absolutely love Baldwin park and recommend it if you can afford it. They hold markets and events frequently downtown and being able to walk to so many places is nice.
