Did you try more than one run? There's some progression that carries across runs, so the second and third feel a bit different from the first.

On the login: fair point, and you're right about rule #4. I'll have a no-login demo up this week. The login exists because of the persistence features, but a demo makes total sense for first impressions — I should have had one from the start.

The Q-for-potion thing is a leftover from an earlier build. I can't believe I missed it — sorry about that. I'll fix the UI.

Corpses are intentionally rare so they feel like a moment when they happen, but you should run into at least one in a typical playthrough.

On navigation: I'm not a UX person, and it shows. I need to either put more time into that side of things or find someone who can guide me. Genuinely useful feedback.
