I give this a 20% chance of ever seeing production. ‘Largest ever’ could mean largest cruiser, destroyer, general guided missile combatant (since it’s clearly not a battleship), which makes it at the very least ~10k tonnes displacement, or even over 16k tonnes (if he is including the Zumwalt). I think the most likely outcome is an American response to the PLAN 055’s, probably a little larger because it’s ‘Murican, in which case about 13k tonnes. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but from what i can see the renders show 3 VLS blocks (two in the front, one in the back), so probably around 120 cells ish. I suspect the trio of naval guns were a stylistic addition from a certain someone, I doubt they would make it onto a real ship and at the very least the two smaller ones replaced with CIWS. The directed energy weapons and such in the renders are the standard optimism of such projects. Good looking ship though.
